An Indonesian show, not a visit to someone else's
Indonesia Lift Expo is the first exhibition in the country given over entirely to vertical transport rather than to construction with lifts somewhere inside it. That matters for a market this size: it puts manufacturers, component suppliers and the contractors who install their equipment in one hall, in front of Indonesian developers and building owners rather than international ones.
SJEC took stand C1-5, among a run of Chinese manufacturers and component suppliers. Prawita Karya was on the stand for the three days as SJEC's agent here — the practical arrangement being that the questions asked at a show like this are Indonesian questions, about buildings in Jakarta and Surabaya, and are answered by the people who will actually install and maintain the equipment.
What the stand carried
The stand led on speed and reach: 7.0 m/s equipment, illustrated by the Longemont Mall installation in China, and the figure SJEC now prints on its own fascia — installed in more than 120 countries, over thirty years since 1992.
Alongside it were traction machines and control equipment shown in the open, which is the part of a stand that engineers rather than buyers tend to spend time at.
