Technical Support

Technical support covers fault diagnosis, troubleshooting and after-sales assistance for elevators, escalators and home lifts, including a 24/7 hotline for equipment out of service and passenger entrapments.

Why technical support matters

Most call-outs are not catastrophic failures. They are door faults, safety-circuit trips and control anomalies — conditions where the equipment has correctly taken itself out of service, and the work is diagnosis rather than repair.

That is why diagnosis matters more than parts. A lift that trips repeatedly for the same reason has an underlying cause, and replacing the component that registered the fault without finding it simply resets the clock.

Support runs alongside maintenance rather than replacing it. The hotline handles what could not be foreseen; the maintenance programme reduces how often that is necessary.

Process

How it works

  1. Call received

Fault reported to the hotline, with entrapments prioritised.

  2. Triage

Symptoms established and, where possible, diagnosed before attendance.

  3. Attendance

Technician attends, isolates the fault and returns equipment to service where possible.

  4. Root cause

Recurring faults investigated for the underlying cause, not only the symptom.

FAQ

Common questions

What should I do if a lift stops working?

Report it to the hotline. If anyone is inside, say so immediately — entrapments are prioritised. Do not attempt to open landing doors: a car stopped between floors presents a fall risk if released by someone not trained to do it.

Why does the same fault keep recurring?

A repeating fault usually has an underlying cause that resetting or replacing the affected component does not address — a door track out of alignment, a marginal safety-circuit contact, or a control parameter that no longer matches how the building is used. Recurring faults warrant root cause investigation.

Is technical support available outside working hours?

Yes. The emergency hotline operates 24/7 for entrapments and equipment out of service.

Need technical support for your building?

Tell us what equipment you have and where it is. Our engineers will tell you what the work actually involves.
