Standby technicians
Elevator & escalator services in Makassar
Prawita Karya has standby technicians in Makassar. Most of our work here has been at Mall Panakkukang, which we have returned to in phases from 2010 to 2025, alongside government buildings including the Governor's Office and the BPS statistics office.
Working in Makassar
Mall Panakkukang is the longest single relationship in our records. It began with two travelators in 2010, took escalators through the Extension and Blok B in 2011 and Blok A in 2012, more in 2014, then eleven escalators and five travelators for the Moslem Center in 2024 and two more for the GOR in 2025. Fifteen years of a client extending a building and calling the same contractor back says more than a list of separate jobs would.
Makassar is escalator country for us in a way most cities are not. The work here is overwhelmingly horizontal-to-vertical passenger movement in retail rather than lifts in towers, and that changes what the service commitment means: an escalator stopped in a trading mall is a visible fault in the middle of the floor, not a notice taped to a lift door.
The lift work is public and small. Gedung BPS took one elevator in 2011 and Gedung H at the Kantor Gubernur one in 2012 — single-car government buildings, where an out-of-service lift closes an accessible route into a public office rather than merely inconveniencing a tenant.
